WHY VOLUNTEERING AT FIELDVIEW IS SO SPECIAL

For many of the ‘Fieldcrew’ becoming part of the Fieldview team has been life-changing. 

Being part of the ‘Fieldcrew’ means collaborating with like-minded people creating something extraordinary together. There’s a deep joy in seeing the festival come to life, knowing you’ve played a part in making it happen. 

Beyond the work, Fieldview is about connection—about spending time with friends and family, meeting new people, and embracing the wonderful diversity of those who come together to make it happen.

At its heart, Fieldview is a place of freedom, inspiration, and belonging. It’s a space where you can express yourself, learn new skills, and help preserve the magic of a community-led not-for-profit festival. 

All roles at Fieldview are volunteer-based, and while it’s an incredibly rewarding experience, it’s also a commitment. Being part of the Fieldcrew means showing up to meetings, playing your part in the creation process, delivering role based tasks (in the field and outside of it) and ultimately working together towards one goal greater than the sum of us all. 

If you’ve ever thought about getting involved, now is the time. We’re at an exciting point in our journey—Fieldview has been growing since 2007 (with a 6 year hiatus between 2018 – 2024), and we’re now looking to lay strong foundations for everything we’ve built. Our dream is to find a permanent home and secure funding to ensure the festival’s future. We aren’t sure yet how we’re going to achieve these goals… but we know we need to have the A-team in place to make it a reality. You might just be the missing part we need. This is a crucial moment to be part of something truly transformative.

To make this happen, we need committed people who are invested in being part of something special. We don’t know exactly where this will take us, but we’re excited to find out – together.
