Field News 1

We’ve got some incredible acts heading to FVF 2015 this year who are eager to send out some serious vibes and get you dancing through an epic weekend.

Our northern HQ managed to hunt down and grab a quick five minutes with O Captain who are playing the barn this year. Read on to find out there thoughts on all things festival and Fieldview.

1. Who would be your top 5 pick to play at Fieldview 2015 –

From the past fieldviews we would have to pick Tall Ships, Hey Sholey, Screaming Maldini, Physics House Band, Kraschenburn, but if we could pick any band’s it would have to be, Brand New, American Football, Paul Simon, Death Cab For Cutie and Nirvana!

2. What’s been your most memorable gig –

We were invited to play the 35th anniversary of The Leadmill in Sheffield for the Steve Lamacq show on BBC 6 Music. Pulp watched us soundcheck, that was pretty special/terrifying!

3. What makes a great festival –

The people, friendly people are essential. You could have the best line up in the world, but if the folk in the crowd aren’t there to have fun it’s not going to work.

4. What/who would you like to see at club Tropicana?

Harry ‘LAD’ Belafonte

5. If you you could describe your band as any cocktail what would it be?

Long Island Ice Tea

6. Why should the FVF crowd come and check you out, what can they expect?

Sweaty, Intense, emotional boy rock.

7.You’ve been coming to FVF for a few years now what’s been your favourite moment?

Either dancing on the car bonnet/DJ booth to Slayer at 7am on the Sunday of 2013, or getting shot in the face with orange paint and spending the last day looking like I’d had the world’s most aggressive spray tan.

8. What do you guys have coming up in the future?

We will be releasing a new single in the next couple of months, popping out on tour and getting an album out later in the year. For the time being please go and grab our last EP ‘Ghetto Hikes’ for free at www.thebandocaptain.bandcamp.com
