Youngr

Youngr is the solo melting pot of multi instrumentalist Dario Darnell, a songwriter, producer, instrumentalist, and vocalist who makes eclectic, slightly left-of-center pop. A Fieldview graduate, an incredibly talented musician, who is finally rising high onto the world stage. The son of August Darnell, aka Kid Creole, Darnell made his (presumably) first recorded appearance back in the early ’90s, on his father’s To Travel Sideways. One of its songs featured wind chimes from him and sibling Lorne Ashley Brigham-Bowes, youngsters whose musical association extended into adulthood. During the late 2000s, the brothers recorded and performed as the Liverpool-based Picture Book, and in 2013, they were credited as co-writers of Cher’s “My Love.” Darnell later landed a solo deal with Island, coincidentally the same major label with which his father was once affiliated.
