Trader FAQs

1. When is the festival?

The festival will take place:
Thursday 2nd August – Sunday 5th August
Gates open at circa 15.00 on 02.08.18. The only stage open is the barn stage. The main stage is not open on the Thursday night. The full site is accessible though and no matter where your pitch is, you will have punters exploring the site and you will have a steady trade.
The festival ends early hours of the Sunday morning, there is no music Sunday day, but breakfast / lunch trade is allowed.
Traders are encouraged to be onsite preferably by the evening of Wednesday 1st August, however you will be allowed onsite no later than 12noon on Thursday 2nd August.
It’s really important you are on site by 12 noon on the 2nd of August. If you arrive any later we will be breaching our health and safety regulations (no moving vehicles on site throughout the festival).

2. Deliveries

We understand that you may need to take in deliveries before and during the course of the festival. Please make sure that a member of your team is available and on site to receive the delivery. Delivery vans will be held by security and will not be allowed on site. We will do our best to transport your delivery (if required) to your pitch but please be advise that during Wednesday and Thursday morning our onsite vehicles are limited and priority will be given to Festival set up.

3. What legal documents are required?

We require all traders to provide proof of Public Liability Insurance.
Traders that are using electrical and/or gas appliances must provide us with appropriate Risk Assessments, and all electric & gas appliances need proof of recent safety checks.
Finally all traders that are serving food and/or drink must supply us with UK Health & Safety Food Handling And Hygiene Regulation document.
We require this documentation on or before the 30th June 2018 prior to the festival.

The festival capacity is 3,000 for 2018.

Any trader waste must be disposed of in the recycling bins provided onsite.
A £50.00 cash rubbish deposit is also payable, which will be returned to you upon leaving the
festival, provided your pitch is left in a clean and tidy condition.

7. Are there any rules around what I can and can’t sell?

Fieldview is a not for profit event which donates to several environmental and sustainable

5- All packaging of food and beverage items must be able to be recycled.

scheme for volunteers, staff and artists. We will pay you £3.00 per voucher accepted (you can
limit the amount of vouchers you accept to 50 per day). You can select items from your menu
that the vouchers are redeemable against or create a special “staff dish” that fits in with the
budget.

9. Can I take a break and leave my pitch?

Sure! Just leave someone else in charge – for the purposes of health and safety your pitch must
be staffed at all times.
