YVES unveil their debut release ‘When The Day Comes’; a fast-paced 4-track EP laced with hunger, excitement and infectious guitar driven melodies, as exemplified by the title track – watch the video here.
Formed in their hometown of Swindon, the three-piece craft bracing, high energy, perfectly formed indie songs, fronted and framed by vocalist Harry Roke’s unique emotional rasp and virtuoso chiming and chopping guitar work, Mitchell Dodson’s crushing bass lines and drummer Finn Wilkinson’s driving percussion.
Recorded at Studio X, Komplex, and Modern World Studios by Chris Gould and Andy Henderson (aka Area7 productions) in May this year, the EP effortlessly captures the raw energy, uplift and urgency that has come to define YVES’ sound.
With support from BBC Introducing in the West under their belts, and a slew of live shows and festival performances over the summer months, 2016 is set to see YVES soar.
The ‘When The Day Comes’ EP by YVES is out on Komplex Recordings (home of Bristol bad boys The Shimmer Band) on June 10th.
