Glasgow power-trio the John Langan Band have a brilliantly tempestuous sound encompassing “a veritable United Nations of musical influences” (Folk Radio UK), including Celtic, Balkan, Gypsy and flamenco elements, fuelled by visceral punk spirit. It’s like System of a Down gatecrashing a ceilidh. Never has a band been able to whip a relaxed crowd into such an animal like fervour; with a reputation for shedding clothes and being matched item for item for item by the audience; the 3 piece possess a sound that can be tender but can be the highway sound of recklessness dragging the mischievous into the witching hour.
